Meditation is the act of focusing our thoughts away from the physical world. Meditation is the calming of our body and our mind in order to connect more deeply with our God source - our wisdom, our intuition and our power. Meditation refreshes the spirit, mind and body.
Meditation is free. It does not cost anything to sit quietly and focus your thoughts. However, for many of us quieting our minds, focusing away from our challenges, or even relaxing is "easier said than done".
Teaching myself to meditate has been one of the best gifts I have ever given myself. When I was a child I heard about meditation, but I was never sure how to do it. About 10 years ago I decided to find out more about meditation and see if it was something that could really benefit me. I have since learned that meditation also provides physical and mental benefits as well. Some of the benefits I heard about at that time were - general better health
