'I Am Domestic Violence'
Goes Down Under - Australia

Wambui was invited to present her one-woman show and workshop, 'I Am Domestic Violence' in Australia. The bulk of the performances were presented in Perth and surrounding areas. However, she did make a stop in Sydney before returning to the United States. Her Australian travel and performance dates were November 12 through November 25, 2015.

Click on the links below to see some of the flyers and for a little more info about 'I Am Domestic Violence' in Australia:

"Your performance at Edith Cowan University in Joondalup was sensational and received very positive feedback from stakeholders and attendees. I have a deep respect for you and your journey, you are an inspiration to me and so many who you have shared with in such a powerful way.
Thank you for using your gift so selfishly to further this important issue in the community." - [contact us for entire document and sender info]

"Everyone has been talking about it ever since and telling those who had not been there that they had missed out big time!  Your ability to portray the characters was exceptional and so believable and we all felt it was the most moving and powerful advocacy on domestic violence that we had ever seen." - [contact us for entire document and sender info]

For me, every moment of the entire trip was a highlight. These are just a very few that were caught on camera. I send a big thanks to everyone who made this trip possible and to all who embraced me with love and warm hospitality that made me feel at home - and for the hard and courageous work that my Australian brothers and sisters do to find remedies to a problem that is out of control all over the world. ~Wambui

Fadzi of the Whande Group met me at the Perth Airport. She was my contact before, and during the events.

Only a few hours in Australia, Fadzi and her friends invited me to an African wedding party. Olivia (the woman in yellow) had made a fabulous headdress for me.

The first event was at Herb Graham Centre in the city of Sterling.
